About Shaw Trust
Shaw Trust is a national charity providing training and work opportunities for people who are disadvantaged due to disability, ill health or other social circumstances. It is the UK’s largest voluntary sector provider of employment for disabled people, but sees opportunities to grow: nearly one in five people of working age in the UK are disabled but only half of them are in work. Shaw Trust assisted 75,000 clients in 2008/09, enabling 16,000 to find employment. The Trust made a loss of £2.8m in the year to March 2009, on incoming resources of £81.4m. It has more than 1,600 employees.
