About A4e
A4e defines its business as ‘improving people’s lives’. It does this by helping people into employment and reducing re-offending through support, advice and training. It also provides access to legal services, financial guidance and advice to those who need help. In 2009 it assisted over 32,000 people into work and helped over 8,000 people gain a qualification. It engages with 7,000 employers nationally each month helping them to up-skill their workforces.
“I felt honoured to be given that level of trust so early on”

“I joined straight from university. Within the first month I led on a project in Northern Ireland and I felt honoured to be given that level of trust so early on.
“I wanted accountability and A4e offered me this. I wanted to develop my skills in a natural and organic way, and not be ushered down certain paths and pigeonholed as you are on some graduate schemes.
“At A4e there are a lot of friendly people who are quite driven, but everybody’s got time for you. If you prove yourself and approach your work in the right way the rewards are here.”
