Facts and figures
“This level of investment and support means that all VSG employees can genuinely view their employment as a career”
"What really makes VSG a Top Employer is its commitment to continually invest in its employees at every level within the business. I joined VSG seven years ago, and through its continued support, guidance and investment, I have been able to actively progress from an entry-level site position to a senior commercial role within the business. This continued investment takes the form of industry-specific training, as well as wider development programmes, many of which are unique to VSG. This investment in the progressive training and development of employees, combined with genuine appraisals and open assessments, really demonstrates VSG’s commitment to developing the person and not the job role."
"This level of investment and support means that all VSG employees can genuinely view their employment as a career and not just another job – when they join VSG, people tend to stay with VSG, and it’s clear to see why."
Oliver Ringsby-Burgess, National Sales Manager, joined VSG in 2006
“My first impression was I had joined a company with an outstandingly strong culture and a genuine priority of investing in its people”
"When I joined VSG originally within the Recruitment department, I was unsure of exactly which career path I wanted to take. My first impression, however, was I had joined a company with an outstandingly strong culture and a genuine priority of investing in its people. It was clear I had joined a very fast moving, passionate and successful company – and I wanted to be part of that success. With external and internal training, guidance and support, I now work as VSG’s HR Project Manager, having progressed through various stages of development in HR."
"It’s a very hardworking but rewarding environment, full of like-minded individuals with a drive to succeed. I am truly very proud to be part of such a great company!"
Claire Dacombe, HR Project Manager, joined VSG in 2005
“We are passionate about delivering opportunity and recognition to all the people who work for VSG”
"The aim of VSG is always to be at the forefront of setting new standards within our industry. We are committed to treating people well and being the best at all we do. I lead my team to drive standards to the next level, to be innovative and different, but – above all else – better. We can make a difference, we have made a difference – our success speaks for itself. Our pride, culture and astounding strength of team spirit are what make us who we are and what differentiates VSG from other companies. Our people have made VSG’s reputation one of the best the security industry."
"My team and I have developed HR strategies and processes that not only ensure fairness and respect but also enable us to identify, attract, and develop talented people while rewarding personal achievements. We are passionate about delivering opportunity and recognition to all the people who work for VSG, so I am delighted that we have been certified as one of Britain’s Top Employers again in 2013."
