Vacancy for Account Manager
Summary of the role
Account Managers (AM) are critical to Britain’s Top Employers, contributing directly to company success by managing existing participants in our project and winning new accounts. AMs are responsible for managing the entire sales cycle, from lead generation to closing deals, and they are expected to achieve a personal annual sales target. They are expected to build successful long-term relationships that are aligned with our values, and to build their own knowledge and hone their abilities to be skilled member of the team.
Is responsible for:
Sales
- Building a relevant database of target prospects for each sales cycle
- Using appropriate professional methods to connect with clients: phone, face-to-face meetings and written communications
- Identifying clients’ needs and communicating benefits of participation in Britain’s Top Employers
- Building successful relationships with existing and target clients
- On-going maintenance of client relationship throughout the duration of their contracts
- Selling tickets to our annual awards ceremony and relevant additional materials
- Using our CRM system in line with company best practices
- Demonstrating our company values in all actions and behaviours
- Market research to ensure that we are in touch with other awards and services on the market
- Building professional networks through attendance of events, memberships in relevant associations, and use of social networking
Project management and delivery
- Delivering certification results to senior-level HR clients
- Interpreting certification results for clients and helping them identify areas for improvement
- Delivering orientation sessions for new clients
- Providing support for participants throughout the research process
- Conducting checks of questionnaires once they are submitted
- Assisting in other aspects of the project management cycle
Experience and skills required:
To be considered for this position you must meet the following criteria:
- You must be a graduate, with minimum 5 years’ sales experience in a B2B environment
- You must have experience within the HR industry (recruitment, HR services, HR software, consultancy, etc.) and have the knowledge, skills and confidence to discuss HR matters with senior management and executives
- You must have proven success in account management/new business/lead generation
- You must have a track record of building strong long-term relationships with clients and industry partners
- You must have excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Must have good PC skills: Internet Explorer, Excel, Word, and the ability to use our CRM system
Personal attributes required:
- Excellent interpersonal skills developed in a direct customer-facing environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A positive outlook and strong problem-solving skills
- Passion for your work
- You must be open to feedback and eager to build on existing skills
Additional information
This full-time position reports to the Country Manager and is based in our offices in Borehamwood, Herts.
